It’s a busy time to visit York with the York Christmas Markets bringing a wide range of visitors to our city.

The nearest car park to SPARK is the Coppergate Centre Car Park which is managed by the City of York Council – we’re a one minute walk from the centre.

Parking is extremely limited across the city during the festive periods, and iTravel York recommend alternative transport when visiting the City Centre.

York has six Park & Ride sites with the first bus departing about 5:30am, and last bus returning at about 22:30pm.

The nearest Park & Ride to SPARK is the Grimston Bar service, stopping directly outside the Coppergate Centre on Piccadilly.

There are also Park & Ride sites at Askham Bar, the York Designer Outlet, Monks Cross, Poppleton Bar, and Rawcliffe Bar. All use an entire fleet of electric buses, and bus fares including parking.

We have limited cycle parking inside of SPARK towards the rear of our venue, however there is public bike parking outside the venue on Merchantgate.

Numerous bus routes serve nearby bus stops, including:

• Coastliner services from Leeds, Tadcaster and Malton
• Arriva services from Selby
• York & Country services from Easingwold
• North Riding services from Ripon
• East Yorkshire services from Hull and Beverley
