In this workshop, join poet Becca Drake and illustrator Lara Aitken to write and illustrate an eco-
poem. The workshop will be in two parts. In the first part, Becca will lead exercises in material
eco-poetics to help you compose your poem (think scissors, water, and ink!) In the second part,
Lara will guide you to respond through drawing to the words on the page, so that you come
away with a double page spread of poem and illustration.
This workshop caters to all levels, whether you are an experienced writer or artist or are just
interested. All materials provided. We are lucky to host this event at Spark C.I.C., where there
are many independent street food stalls and bars – why not bring your friends and make an
evening of it?
