Studio&I (at first – Hull Sailor!), is the brain child of JJ and Lisa, and is a retail store, specialising in art, clothing and more, and a tattoo studio. Lisa and JJ, both from Hull, contacted SPARK back in early 2020, to offer a brilliant fusion of their passion for art and clothing, alongside being a dynamic tattoo studio. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, Studio&I opened in July 2020, and developed a popular and exciting brand, one that neither SPARK or York had seen before. JJ, the tattooist, was booked with waiting lists stretching for months, while Lisa strengthened the clothing aspect of the business offering personalised t-shirts, tote bags, beanie hats and caps, alongside artwork. The opportunity arose for Studio&I to expand in its first permanent premises, at 24 Goodramgate, and it opened in November 2021. Lisa and JJ have done incredibly well and served as a unique example for testing an idea to moving into a permanent force in York city centre!
