The streets quieten, and option paralysis sets in, leaving you to either retreat into your screen at home or default to a soulless corporate chain just to find somewhere that’s open.

But at SPARK, we’ve always liked doing things a little differently.

Our community doesn’t need another day of isolation or another generic chain experience. It needs a vibrant space to breathe, a place to gather, and a genuine chance to connect. That’s why, for the first time ever, we are officially opening on Mondays ahead of the summer!

We are activating our space to prove that you can support local, champion independent traders, and breathe new life into the start of the week all at the same time. By trading corporate routine for independent discovery, we are using this exciting new chapter to focus on what matters most: fostering genuine human connection and giving some well-deserved love back to the incredible hospitality workforce that keeps York running.

Unplugging to Connect: Introducing Analogue Mondays

How much of your day is spent staring at a screen? Between endless scrolling, work emails, and digital noise, we are more “connected” than ever, yet we often feel completely isolated.

We want to change that. On the first and third Monday of every month, we are launching Analogue Mondays to help you trade screen time for face-to-face interaction.

Here is what you can expect when you step into our phone-free zones:

• Pure nostalgia: A non-stop soundtrack of absolute ’90s hits.
• Old-school fun: Tables stacked with classic board games to spark some friendly competition.
