Waqif Arabian Kitchen is a modern street food concept inspired by the rich flavours and aromas of the Arabian Gulf. The idea for the business was born out of Tom’s upbringing, having spent more than a decade living in Qatar. There, he developed a deep appreciation for both Arabic and Levantine cuisine – especially the warmth, spice, and hospitality that define it.
Waqif Arabian Kitchen was established in 2025, with the goal of bringing bold, authentic Gulf-inspired flavours to a wider audience in a way that feels fresh, accessible, and contemporary. It aims to specialise in elevated street food that reflects the vibrancy of markets like Doha’s Souq Waqif by offering a menu that blends tradition with creativity — think grilled meats, warm spices, slow-cooked stews, and fresh, comforting flatbreads. Starting as a popular pop-up here at SPARK, they have now grown into their own dedicated container that they call home.
