Our multipurpose events space is available for both private and public use. From screenings, meetings, workshops, birthdays, exhibitions, vintage markets, corporate events, rehearsals; it really is a blank canvas ready to be used! If you’re in need of somewhere to host your event in the heart of York city centre with fantastic catering options courtesy of our independent traders, then we’d be happy to help. Our room hire rates are competitive and if you’re hosting a not for profit community event please talk to us, we’ll do everything we can to help you out!

We can host groups of up to:
80 people for a party (standing, no tables)
60 people for a seated talk or performance (theatre style).
25 people for a board meeting (conference style).
Our room hire rate is £25 (+VAT) an hour, this includes the use of our tables and chairs, WiFi and power in the room.
If you require AV equipment for your event this is available to hire at the following prices:
Projector & screen: £30+VAT per day.
Microphone, stand and basic PA speakers: £30+VAT per day
FURNITURE & EQUIPMENT
We have the following furniture which you can use in the room for your event if you wish:
3 x 6ft trestle tables
5 x 3ft round tables
50 x chairs
(If you wish to hire more chairs/tables this can be done through an external company)
Projector & screen
Microphone, stand and basic PA speakers
FOOD & DRINK
Where catering is required we ask that you use one of the traders at SPARK* to supply your food and drink.
If you cancel your event more than 4 weeks ahead of your event date you will be refunded in full.
If you cancel your event with less than 4 weeks notice you will receive a 50% refund.
If you cancel your event with less than 1 week’s notice you will not receive a refund.
