This special weekend marks the start of a cosier SPARK with a roof overhead. Expect food, music, crafts, and a new look from York’s best independents.
Join us for a weekend of music, food, markets, workshops, and family sessions at SPARK. You can expect a silent DJ set, crafting with our friends at Queer Affaire, temporary tattoos, custom illustrations, free photos, and tasting sessions with local breweries as part of Maltfest!
Friday
Kick off the weekend and our Winter season with a Silent DJ set from 6pm, as Pete le Freq spins the tunes. Buttercrumble will be creating free custom portraits in the evening, plus you can enjoy free use of our photo booth all night. From 6pm, there’ll also be free airbrush temporary tattoos, and Queer Affaire will be running crafty activities outside their pop-up store from 12pm-6pm.
Saturday
On Saturday, Queer Affaire continue their pop-up crafting fun outside their store with a brand new activity. From 6pm, you can get free airbrush temporary tattoos, and Maltfest will be hosting their local brewery tasting sessions!
Sunday
Sunday is all about the little ones, with free baby sessions hosted by Avocado Events, alongside children’s craft sessions and face painting. Queer Affaire will also be back with their creative activities outside their store.
🎟️ Tickets: Entry is free at our venue and you don’t need tickets for our re-opening weekend. The baby and children’s craft sessions are ticketed online for free, and Maltfest tickets can be purchased via the Maltfest page.
